Ralph M. Wilk

Ralph M. Wilk, 94, a long time Barrington resident, passed away peacefully, Saturday September 12th. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Betty Jane (Feezel) Wilk. Born in Cleveland Ohio, he was a son of the late George and Edna (Mueller) Wilk. Mr. Wilk was employed by the General Electric for over 31 years. He served honorably in the United States Army during World War II, with the 116th Radio Intercept Group, in the European Theatre. Upon returning from the war he used the GI Bill to attend and graduate from Case Institute of Technology in 1955 with a degree in Engineering. He then received his Master’s Degree in Engineering Management in 1962 from Case as well. His passions included baseball, golf and bridge and he was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. He is survived by two sons, David Wilk of Marlboro, MA and Peter Wilk and his wife Erin of Annandale, VA; and two granddaughters, Reese and Casey. He was the father of the late Ricky Wilk and brother of the late George Wilk. There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, October 3 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the Wharf Tavern, 215 Water Street, Warren. Burial will take place in the Knollwood Cemetery, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1210 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920.
