Ralph Oliva, Jr

Ralph Oliva Jr., 54, of Cedar Hollow Rd., South Kingstown, died Sunday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Arleen (Golick) Oliva. Born in Providence, he was the son of Ralph Oliva Sr. and Patricia (Charette) Oliva. Mr. Oliva worked in facility services at The University of Rhode Island for several years before retiring due to illness. He received his BA from U.R.I. and was a soccer coach for South County Youth Soccer. He was the loving father of Alexander L. Oliva, Justine E. Oliva and Danielle C. Oliva; brother of Laurie Heltman, Cynthia Martins and the late David Oliva. A memorial service will be held Thursday 11 AM in the Kingston Congregational Church, 2610 Kingstown Road, Kingston. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph’s memory may be made to U.R.I. Talent Development, The DiMaio/Forleo Scholarship Endowment, P.O. Box 1700, Kingston, RI 02881.
