Ralph W. Hamilton, Jr.

September 30, 1924 — March 27, 2009

Ralph W. Hamilton, 84, formerly of Snug Harbor, a charter member and first Fire Chief of the Snug Harbor Volunteer Fire Co., died Friday at the Grand Islander Health Center, Middletown. He was the husband of the late Laura C. (Brown) Hamilton. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Ralph W. and Alice (Holding) Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton worked as a contract inspector for the U.S. Government for twenty-two years before retiring and also worked at the Tasca Auto Mall in Cranston. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. The funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.
