Ralph W Bowley

Ralph W. Bowley, 89, of Moonstone Beach Road, died Sunday. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Gardiner) Bowley and the late Barbara (Tower) Bowley. Born in North Conway, NH, he was a son of the late Ralph and Marie (Savard) Bowley. Mr. Bowley served honorably in the United States Air Force for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1966. He later was employed by the State of Rhode Island Public Utilities & Carriers Department for 14 years. He is survived by two sons, Ralph W. Bowley, III of Westerly, Terence C. Bowley of Grovetown,GA; three daughters, Barbara Ann Hoehsle of Mt. Clemens, MI, Charlotte Marie Woodhead and Deborah E. Bowley, both of Narragansett; two step-daughters, Lauralee Bernard of Narragansett and Wendy Maguder of CT; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Friday at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Road, Narragansett. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to South County Hospital, 100 Kenyon Avenue, Wakefield, RI 02879, or a charity of one’s choice.
