Priscilla Mae (Hazard) Spiver, died on March 23, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born in South Kingstown, RI on November 11,1938. She was the daughter of the late Reginald and Pearl (Stanton) Hazard. She was the wife of the late James Peter Spiver.
She is the mother of James E. Spiver and his wife Lisa of East Providence, Pamela J Spiver of Providence; Jeffrey A. Spiver of Providence and Paula A (Spiver) Jett of Cranston. She is survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren. Her sisters, Caroline Perry, and Evangeline Delves of Providence and her brother Lorenzo Hazard of East Providence. She is pre-deceased by her siblings, Mason Hazard, Reginald Hazard, Robert Hazard, Blessing Bourne, Rachel Santos and Richard Hazard.
She was a graduate of Central High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Wiggins Village. After leaving there, she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island in the Finance Department while also working part-time at Bannister House as a receptionist until she retired.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM with a funeral service immediately following at 12:00 PM at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, RI 02879. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
