Philip J. Wightman

Philip Wightman, 28, formerly of Wakefield, died unexpectedly Saturday. Born in South Kingstown, he was the son of Kenneth and Sharyn (Geib) Wightman. He was currently employed by Geib Refining Corp. and had attended South Kingstown High School and Chariho Vocational Technical School. In his spare time he enjoyed boating and fishing. Besides his parents he is survived by, a son, Dylan J. Wightman of Wakefield; a brother Jason Wightman and his fiancé, Virginia Johnson, both of Tampa, FL, and his maternal grandmother, Gladys Geib of Jamestown. A funeral service will be Friday at 11 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Dylan Wightman Educational Fund, c/o any Washington Trust Company branch.
