Philip Ernest Green, Jr., “One Arrow”, 64, of East Wilton, Maine, formerly of North Kingstown, passed away Sunday in Lewiston, Maine. He was born Dec. 23, 1946, in Providence, RI, a son of Philip E. and Ruth May (Ford) “Princess Sunflower” Green, Sr. He was a graduate of Central High School in Providence and for many years worked as a tool and die maker for manufacturing companies in RI. On Sept. 28, 1985, he married Mary (Garlick) Crossen in Wakefield, RI. In October of 2006, they followed their dream and moved to Maine. “One Arrow” was proud of his Native American heritage and was a direct descendent of King Philip of the Wampanoag and Pequot Nation. He was an NRA member and certified NRA firearms instructor. He was a member of the South County. Rod and Gun Club, the Capitol City Rifle and Pistol Club, and the Single Action Shooting Society. He was a former member of the Rhode Island Rifle and Revolver Assoc.; the National Street Rod Association, The Good Guys and the Rangeley Lakes Snowmobile Club. He was also a member of SNEADA, Southeastern New England Antique Dealers Association. His hobbies included snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, shooting, hot-rods, going to the movies and collecting antiques. He was a very motivated individual who always wanted to set a goal and accomplish some task every day. He is survived by his wife, best friend, and soul mate of 31 years, Mary H. Green of East Wilton; one son: Michael E. Green and his wife, Sheryl R. Green of West Greenwich, RI; three step-children: Donald E. Crossen, Jr. and his wife, Jane of Exeter, RI; Robert Crossen of Providence, RI and Deborah Crossen of Exeter, RI; proud and loving grandfather of, Madeline R. Green and Molly E. Green of West Greenwich, RI and step-grandson, Matthew Crossen of Exeter, RI; two sisters: Deborah Afdasta and her son Richard of Warwick, RI and Linda Crossen and her husband, William of Richmond, RI and their two children Dawn Herman of CT. and Steven Crossen of MA.; and a special cousin, Everett “Tall Oak” Weeden and his wife, Pat of Charleston, RI. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers remembrance gifts may be given to the Double B Equine Rescue 997 West Mills Rd. Industry, Maine 04938 or to a Native American charity of one’s choice.
