It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Philip D. Campbell, who departed this world on January 23, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on March 4, 1945, Philip was the devoted husband of the late Miriam (Turco) Campbell, with whom he shared 36 loving years of marriage. He will always be remembered for his wisdom, kindness, and the genuine love he shared with everyone around him.
Philip enjoyed a successful career as an interior designer in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, California, where he worked with several wealthy and well-known clients. He later transitioned into real estate, becoming a respected real estate agent in Monticello, California. After moving to Rhode Island, Philip found his true calling with the Newport Preservation Society, where he became one of their most beloved employees, admired for his dedication, warmth, and passion for history and preservation.
Philip leaves behind his beloved daughter, Serina Casey, and his son, Gavin Casey, who will forever cherish the memories and lessons imparted by their father. He was a devoted grandfather to Juhree Casey, whom he helped raise and for whom he was a loving role model. He is also survived by his sister Debbie Milby, brothers Dennis Campbell and John Campbell, and sister Rebecca Ferrell.
Though Philip has departed, his spirit will continue to resonate in the lives he touched. Philip D. Campbell's legacy is one of love, wisdom, and resilience, and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
