Peter W. Smith

Peter W. Smith, 59, of Bradford, NH, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 7th. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of Dorothy (Keyes) Smith of South Kingstown and the late Arthur “Pete” Smith. He was a graduate of South Kingstown High School and Emerson College. He was the owner of Peterbrook Publishing Society and he authored numerous books, including the New England Country Store Cookbook. He also owned Forty-Niner Concessions and had the only independently owned food concession at the Washington County Fair. Besides his mother he is survived by a brother, Richard A. Smith of North Kingstown, a niece, Abigail Smith and a nephew, Alexander Smith. He was the brother of the late Browning Smith. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 17th in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
