Peter W. Russo

Peter W. Russo, 61, of Charlestown, passed away at home unexpectedly on Sunday, June 18, 2023. He was the husband of Patricia (Shea) Russo for 34 years. Born in South Kingstown, he was the son of the late Henry and Judith (Rose) Russo.

Peter had many different talents, which led him to a wide variety of occupations. The most recent being Forman at the Town of Narragansett Department of Public Works.

He enjoyed spending time with friends, as well as hunting, fishing, building, and repairing.

He believed people were brought together to support and care for each other. He believed that everyone’s feelings count and the uniqueness of each of us strengthens all of us.

Being together with others was important to him.

In addition to his wife, Peter is survived by his sister, Joy Caswell; his brother, Mark Henry (wife Amanda); his sister-in-law, Dawn Russo; and his uncle, William B. Rose (wife Joy); his dog Rose; and many nieces and nephews.

Peter is predeceased by his parents; his brother, James Russo; and his faithful dogs, Bull and Arthur.

Peter will be remembered as trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, and kind.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow at New Fernwood Cemetery, 3120 Kingstown Rd, Kingston.
