Peter G. Laurie, Jr.

Peter G. Laurie, Jr., 93, of Narragansett, passed away Sunday March 6, 2016. He was the husband of the late Eleanor E. (White) Laurie. Born in South Kingstown, RI, he was the son of the late Peter G. Laurie, Sr. and Lucinda Ann (Tucker) Laurie. Mr. Laurie was a United States Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. He was the former owner of Point Judith Welding in Narragansett from 1963 to 1984. He was a coin collector and a Good Sam’s Club Member. He was the father of Peter G. Laurie, III, of Narragansett, and the late Joseph, David, and James Laurie; grandfather of five, great grandfather of thirteen, and great-great grandfather of one. He was the brother of the late Joseph Laurie. Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 9:30 am in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield, RI. Burial will be private.
