Peter A. Kazounis

Peter Anthony Kazounis, 77, of South Kingstown, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Ave Maria, FL. He was married on November 18, 1956 to the late Joan (Ciancio) Kazounis for fifty four years. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony and Pauline (Labrinos) Kazounis. Peter worked as an Engineer for IBM for twenty five years and went on to develop and own Francesca Dolls with his wife Joan and family for almost thirty five years. Peter was a sports enthusiast especially baseball and an avid sports fan and honorary fan of Ave Maria University. He enjoyed gardening and the beach but his love was always for his family. He was the loving father of Donna Craig of Wakefield, James Kazounis of Barrington, Kathryn Traver of Ave Maria, FL, Mary Wright of Wakefield, William Kazounis of Wakefield, Maria Kazounis of Ave Maria, FL, Margaret Rose Kazounis of Narragansett, Robert Kazounis of St. Augustine, FL, Edward Kazounis of Westerly and Elizabeth Randolph of Providence. Peter is also survived by his brother John Kazounis of Wakefield; twenty three grandchildren and two great grandsons. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
