Peter E. Bradley, 70, of Narragansett passed away on October 12, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Dein) Bradley for over 34 years. Peter was born in Westerly, RI on July 15, 1948 to the late Jean (Adams) and Edward E. Bradley. Besides his wife, Peter is survived by his sons Thomas E. Bradley and wife Jennifer and Daniel A. Bradley of South Kingstown; siblings David and wife Barbara of Lakeland, FL, Linda of Warwick; Benjamin and wife Barbara of South Kingstown, and Ted (Edward) and wife Ellen of Union, CT; grandchildren Corey, Caitlyn, Rachel, Madelyn, and Megan; aunt Lucille Richmond of Pawcatuck, CT; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Peter graduated from Cranston West High School in 1966; from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Agriculture and Resource Technology in 1971; and from Salve Regina University with an M.A. in Holistic Counseling in 2011. Proud of his Scottish and swampyankee heritage, Peter was multi-talented and resourceful. His work reflected that: He worked for the Potter Rathbun Organ Company, the Wakefield Branch, and KTA-Tator, for example. For Electric Boat he served as a submarine inspector at Quonset Point and as an instructor in Groton, CT. He later became a holistic counselor, serving in mental health agencies and as an independent contractor. Peter was active in the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 2 with his sons in Narragansett; played horn for the URI Ram Band and Lafayette Band for many years; was a founding and decades-long member of the South County Chamber Singers, singing bass; and sang in choruses on many of the numerous trips he took with Margaret and other family in the U.S. and Europe. Peter made drums and flutes, knapped obsidian, and sawed and chopped wood to heat his home. He meditated, read voraciously, was quiet, quick-witted, and independent-minded. He valiantly faced life with glioblastoma for over four years. He was kind, loving, and beloved.
