Paul E. Reynolds

Paul E. Reynolds, 77, of Kingston, died Tuesday. He was the beloved husband of Arlene (Platt) Reynolds for 51 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Eugene and Helen (Toher) Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was an Engineer for Bell Laboratories for 32 years. For ten of these years, he was a member of the team that oversaw engineering for the Apollo Space Program. After retiring in 1991, he shared his experiences with many 3rd and 5th grade students at various schools. He was President of the Kingston Improvement Association, a member of the Rhode Island Department of Transportation Advisory Committee, the University of Rhode Island Institutional Review Board, and Christ the King Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Surviving besides his wife are five children and their spouses; Steven and Terese Reynolds of North Attleboro, MA, Mark Reynolds and Clare Reilly of Boston, MA, Christine and Peter Meyer of Newton, MA, Jennifer and Joe Lawson of Bristol, RI, Matthew and Patti Reynolds of Plymouth, MA; six grandsons; Patrick and Thomas, Owen and Jack, Niall and Declan; two sisters; Patricia Duffy of Pemberton, NJ and Anne Dunn of Bristol, NH; two brothers; David Reynolds of Coventry and James Reynolds of Boston, MA. He was the brother of the late Robert Reynolds. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday at Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Sunday 4-6 PM. Memorial donations may be made to South County Hospital, 100 Kenyon Avenue, Wakefield, RI 02879.
