Paul R. Pierce, Jr.

Paul Richard “Rick” Pierce Jr, 59, of Zephyrhills Florida, passed away August 10, 2024. Born in Providence RI, he was a son of Paul R. Pierce, Sr. and Margaret (Mitchell) Pierce.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Timothy, Stephen, Nathan and Jeremy Pierce, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joel Pierce.

Rick worked 10 years at the North Kingstown Free Library, 10 years at the Plymouth State College Library in Plymouth NH and at the University of South Florida Library in Tampa FL. Rick was a board member of the Davisville Free Library in Davisville RI for 8 years. Rick was a collector of rare books and Bible translations.

Visitation for Paul will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 10 to 11 AM in the Stoney Lane Church, 921 Old Baptist Road, North Kingstown, RI, with a service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will be private at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, 6365 Post Road, North Kingstown. Reception will follow at Stony Lane Church.
