Paul Richard Jennings, Sr., 77, of Pawleys Island, SC and formerly of Wakefield, passed away, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was born May 16, 1940 in Camden, NJ, a son of the late Frederick and Helen Cox Jennings. He was predeceased by his former wife, Nadia K. Jennings in 2012. Paul received his BA from Rutgers University in New Jersey and his Master Degree from Columbia University in New York. He was a United States Air Force Veteran who proudly served his country as a Captain. He was still working for ULTRAScientific as a consultant where he had been working during his sales and marketing career in pharmaceuticals and environmental standards. Mr. Jennings was a member of Eastbridge Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Mount Pleasant, SC, a member and president of South Strand Gideons Camp in Myrtle Beach, SC and a former member of South County Gideons in Wakefield, RI. He was a loving and devoted family man who will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne L. Ruviella-Knorr of Pawleys Island, SC; a son, Paul Richard Jennings, Jr. of North Smithfield, RI.; a daughter, Alexandra Jennings Young of London, Great Britain; a step-son, Richard P. Knorr of Myrtle Beach, SC; a step-daughter, Michelle R. Mitchell of Cabot, AR; granddaughter, Holden Jennings, step-granddaughters, Emily Knorr, Allison Knorr, Brooklyn Mitchell and Cadence Mitchell; step-grandsons, Joshua Knorr and Elijah Mitchell. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Thursday, July 20, 2017, 6-8 pm. There will also be a visitation hour at the Perryville Bible Church, 220 Moonstone Beach Road, on Friday, July 21st from 10 - 11 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International P.O. Box 178, Wakefield, RI 02880 or you may give to the charity of your choice.
