Paul M. DeAngelis, 62, of West Warwick, died unexpectedly Monday at home. He was husband of Janet (White) Raymond DeAngelis. Born in Providence, he was a son of Louis J DeAngelis of Narragansett and the late Jean (Murray) DeAngelis. Mr. DeAngelis was the Global Sales Director for BCC Research, Wellesley, MA. Mr. DeAngelis graduated from the University of Rhode Island, and was president of his fraternity, Sigma Chi. He was a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, South County, the Narragansett Lions Club, and he was the former chairman of the South Kingstown Democratic Committee. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan. Besides his wife he is survived by five children, Jessica (Brian) Anderson of Colorado, Jon DeAngelis of North Providence, Eric ( Stephanie) DeAngelis of Philadelphia, PA, Lauren DeAngelis and Kate DeAngelis, both of North Kingstown; four grandchildren; and he was the brother of Ann DeAngelis of Pawtucket, Steven DeAngelis of Wakefield, Matthew (Cheryl) DeAngelis of Portsmouth, and Jeana DeAngelis of Pawtucket, and the late Louis J. DeAngelis, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Saturday in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Road, Narragansett. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Friday 4-8 pm. The DeAngelis family kindly requests to omit flowers and to make donations to benefit his daughter’s education.
