Patricia Anne "Pat", Wright, 68, of Wakefield and Narragansett, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her siblings, Sarah "Tisha" Gauvin and her husband Jack, Thomas "Tommy" Wright and his partner Sue Wallace, Mary Terminesi and her late husband Albert "Rick" Terminesi, Susan Ryan and her husband Michael, Ann Wright, cousin Gretchen Tingley (Carl), sister-in-law Suzanne Wright and all of her cherished cousins in the States and in Ireland, Scotland and England. Pat was the daughter of the late Mary E. "Lily" Wright and the late Captain Albert H. "Tod" Wright, whom she is surely reunited with in heaven, along with her dear friends and family who have moved on to eternal life.
Pat was a loving, vibrant and cherished auntie to 18 nieces and nephews and 20 great nieces and nephews. Known for her infectious laughter and generous spirt, she was more than just an auntie - she was a confidant and an inspirational role model. She always offered a listening ear and wise advice without judgment. Her words soothed, her presence reassured and her love was unconditional. She was passionate about the people in her life. She turned ordinary moments into unforgettable adventures. Her nieces and nephews said she was a magical person, and everyone should have an Auntie Pat in their life. So many of you will remember the amazing and creative personalized photo cards she would create celebrating every special event in your life!
Her faith in God was unwavering. Pat lived her life as shining example of charitable, Christ-like love. One of the greatest spiritual gifts she received from God is when she walked through the doors of St. Veronica's Chapel and when she became a member of the music ministry. The friendships and bonds she had with her faith-family were a great source of joy in her life.
Pat was proud of her work with the Olean Center, Oscar / The Fogarty Center. She considered it an honor to work with children and adults with disabilities for over 40 years. She and her amazing colleagues shared a passion for advocating for the children & adults with disabilities and the families they supported. Her dear friend and mentor said when Pat looked in the eyes of a child or an adult with disabilities, she saw the beautiful person inside and their abilities.
During her time at South County Hospital (SCH), she often said she was at peace in God's hands. We witnessed angels walking among us from her long-time dear friends who lifted her up during this difficult time and in the care and comfort provided to Pat and all of us by the nurses, doctors, hospice representatives and other caregivers.
Pat was woman of remarkable kindness. She brought light into every room she entered.
She had a unique quality in making each person she knew feel special. Her presence was a source of joy, and her nurturing nature created a loving family atmosphere for all. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the cherished memories shared by everyone she touched.
We think it's fitting to end with what Pat always said: "Love you Beyond Words" and "God Bless."
