Patricia J. (Casey) St. Germain, 90, of Kingston, RI, passed away April 20, 2021, after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late George A. St. Germain. Born in Waterloo, New York, she was a daughter of the late James Frederick and Mary Louise (Conway) Casey. Pat received her nursing degree in 1952 from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Providence, RI, and was a dedicated registered nurse for more than 35 years. She cherished her Catholic faith, and was an active member of Christ the King parish in Kingston, RI for over 40 years. Pat volunteered with several community organizations as well. She was a devoted mother to her children, Patricia A. St. Germain of Pawcatuck, CT, Laura L. St. Germain of Point Lookout, NY, Jane F. St. Germain of Saugus, MA, and Maggie St. Germain of Framingham, MA. Pat was a loving Nana to Simon Stringer, Patrick Stringer, Elizabeth Rooney, and Wren St. Germain, and a caring aunt to her nieces and nephews, She was predeceased by her daughter Joan M. St. Germain, and her siblings Evelyn B. (Casey) Hamelin and J. Frederick Casey, Jr. The family extends deepest thanks to Dr. Gloria Sun and Dr. J. Jeffreys Bandola for their compassionate care of Mom, and Dr. Gerrit Kimmey of Huntington, WV for his ongoing support of and care for our sister Joan. We are also grateful to the staff and nurses at Brookdale, South Bay who welcomed Mom to the community, where she felt very much at home. Visiting hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 29, in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the lives of Pat and her daughter Joan will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, April 30, in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. At Pat's request, those attending are asked to wear bright colors rather than black. Those unable to attend on Friday can view the Mass via livestream on Christ the King's website (www.ctkri.org). Burial will be private.
