Patricia Pease

September 4, 1948 — December 26, 2015

Patricia E. Pease, formerly of South Kingstown, passed away on Saturday at her home in Venice, Florida. She was the beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Pease. Patricia was born at South County Hospital of Wakefield in 1948. She graduated from South Kingstown High School. She obtained an associates degree at Catharine Gibbs School and worked for the University of Rhode Island for many years. She especially loved the students who would come and go and stop to see her over the years. She had five children, Heather Carrell (Pease) of South Kingstown, the late Bruce Lyskawa of South Kingstown, Travis Pease and his wife Kara of Richmond, Thatcher Pease of South Kingstown, and Meg Lyskawa and her husband Christian Sotto of San Francisco, CA. She is survived by four grandchildren, Hunter, Caleb, Chloe, and Zachary. She is survived by her sister Kate (Monahan) Combs of South Kingstown. She was preceded in death by her brother Michael Monahan of Narragansett. She had many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Patricia’s interests included playing golf, walking her beloved rat terrier dog Max, and reading books. She enjoyed watching the alligators and birds from backyard lanai. She loved to read the Providence Journal and read it daily on line, and was a Patriots fan. Although she moved to Florida and enjoyed the weather, she always talked about going back to Rhode Island. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Saturday 11 am- 12 noon, followed by a funeral service at 12 noon. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale.
