Patricia Ann Mcpherson

Patricia A. McPherson, 70, of Narragansett, died Wednesday surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of John F. McPherson. Born in Troy, New York, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rovilla (Weaver)Kennedy. Mrs. McPherson a Service Representative for the New England Telephone & Telegraph Company and she was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, gardening and was active in fighting for the protection of Social Security and Medicare. In her younger years, she was an active member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church. She will be missed by her beloved dog, Marnie. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jennifer McPherson of North Kingstown; five step-sons, John McPherson of Bellingham, MA, William McPherson of Attleboro, MA, Stephen McPherson of New Hampshire, Scott McPherson of Attleboro, MA, and Douglas McPherson of Pinellas Park, FL; a brother, Joseph Kennedy of Troy, NY; two sisters, Kathy Buxton of Long lake, NY and Sue Peyser of East Greenbush, NY; 18 grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin, Dawn, Melissa, Meghan, Cameron, Nicholas, Sean, William, Steven, Ashley, Michael, Brittany, Joey, Melina, Callie, Cody and Hayden; as well as many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be 8:45 AM Monday from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Road, Narragansett. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-6 PM.
