Patricia (Pat) S. Kelly, Ph. D., 94 of Wakefield, RI passed away Wednesday April 8th. She was the wife of the late William F. Kelly. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marie Smith.

Dr. Kelly was a professor of Home Economics Education at the University of Rhode Island for 21 years, retiring in 1989. Pat was a lifelong golfer and an avid bird watcher. Living in South Carolina in retirement, she became an active clogger and participated in synchronized swimming events as well as becoming a Master gardener.

Pat had six children, the late Lilyne Hollingworth, Mary Beth Schmitt, Sharon Toti, Bill Kelly, John Kelly and Maureen Baxter. She had 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Bob Smith, Sheila Gagnon and the late Nancy Anastasia.

A private funeral and burial is planned in Wakefield, RI
