Patricia L. Frohlich, 80, of Wakefield, died Saturday. She was the beloved wife of Reinhard Frohlich for 46 years. Born in Dublin, Ireland she was a daughter of the late Edward and Louie (Quinlan) Nash. Mrs. Frohlich worked in the fashion industry in London for many years and the she moved to Germany and was employed by the Catholic Women’s League, before immigrating to the United States in 1969. She moved to South Kingstown in 1973 and spent much of her time educating herself at the University of Rhode Island taking courses in English, German and Anthropology, eventually earning her Bachelor of Arts degree. She travelled extensively in Europe and the Mediterranean with her husband, utilizing the knowledge from her studies. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son and his wife Karl and Karen (Becker) Frohlich of New Gloucester, Maine; two grandchildren, Colin and Charlotte Frohlich; two sisters, Louie O’Mahony and her husband Sean and Maureen Browne and her husband Liam, all of Dublin; two brothers, Anthony Nash and Eamonn Nash and his wife Olive, all of Bunclody, Ireland; as well as many nieces an nephews. The funeral will be 9 am Friday from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours are Thursday 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jonnycake Center, 1231 Kingstown Road, Peace Dale, RI 02879.
