Patricia Brearley

Patricia "Pat" (Quanstrom) Brearley, 90, peacefully passed away on December 15th, while recovering from a recent illness. Richard "Dick" Brearley, her husband, predeceased her in 2017 and was eagerly awaiting their reunion.

Pat was born in February 1935 in Smithfield, RI, daughter of the late Carl and Agnes "Betty" Quanstrom. Pat was the 5th of 5 children. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Edward Quanstrom, and sisters, Sis Pickett, Betty Mongeon, and Dorothy Kraines.

Pat and Dick were married in September 1959 and together raised two children in West Boylston, Massachusetts. Pat was a full-time mom and later worked in retail and office management. Strong family ties brought the family home to Rhode Island often. Pat enjoyed boating on Salt Pond and encouraging her children to thrive among family, friends and the coastal Rhode Island lifestyle. In "retirement" to Narragansett, Pat became a dedicated employee at the Sunset Farms and Towers event venues.

Pat is survived by her two children: Scott Brearley of Narragansett and Linda (Rick) Mitrovich of San Diego, California and generations of nieces and nephews. Among her extended family, Pat's grandniece, Samantha Thursby, is special. Her kindness, intuition, open heart and tender care will live forever in Pat's heart.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 19th at 11:30 AM at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield, RI, followed by an interment at the Rhode Island Veterans' Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation hour from 10:30-11:30 that morning.
