Pasquale Prata, Jr.

Pasquale Prata, Jr., 88, of Wakefield, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016, twelve days after his beloved wife Gilda H. (Tammetta) Prata. They would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on Monday July 25th. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Pasquale, Sr. and Immaculatta (Calise) Prata. Mr. Prata was a Service Manager for Benny’s Home & Auto Store, served honorably in the U.S Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by four children, Loretta Swider and her husband David of Virginia, Sandra Perry and her husband Robert of Wakefield, Patrica Prata Courtemanche of South Kingstown, and Pasquale M. Prata and his wife Wendy of Coventry; five grandsons and four great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late James, Mario and Anthony Prata. A committal service with military honors will be held Friday at 9:30 am in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
