Oneita P. Barnett

Oneita P. Barnett (Gordinier), 85, of West Kingston passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014. She was the wife of the late William R. Barnett. Born in Carthage, NY, a daughter of the late Oliver & Ruby E. (Smith) Gordinier. Mrs. Barnett enjoyed gardening, canning and was an avid Red Sox fan. She is survived by her children, Gerald Ellis of Terryville, CT, Ronald Ellis of Providence, Charles Ellis of West Kingston, Bonnie Rice of Watertown, CT and Dianna Parker of Wolcott, CT; a brother, Merrill Gordinier of Richfield, NY; two sisters, Leona Pennock of Greatbend, NY and Linda Younger of Carthage, NY; nine grandchildren, Damian T., Briden, Blu, Chy, River Ellis, Chelsea and Sirena Rice, Amy Grelo and Ryan Parker and three great-grandchildren, Damian Ellis, Jr., Amiya and Julian Gonzalez. She was the sister of the late Oliver Gordinier, Muriel Slate, Lwellyn Gordinier, and Thelma Marcellis. A committal service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11 AM in the R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
