Norman L. Gould, Jr., of Slocum Road, Exeter, died Monday at home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Catherine J. (Cook) Gould. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late Norman L. Gould Sr. and Helen (Gardiner) Gould Dominque. Mr. Gould served honorably in the United States Navy as an Aircraft mechanic during the Korean Conflict. After the service he worked at Electric Boat in Groton, the Holgate Shipyard in Snug Harbor, and the Kenport Marine in South Kingstown. Most recently he was the owner of Norms Boat Shop. He was also was an aviation pilot. He is survived by three sons; Norman L. Gould, III of Exeter, James M. Gould of South Kingstown, Scott G. Gould of Exeter; thirteen grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. He was the father of the late Jack Gould. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 12 Noon Friday, September 27th at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
