Norma Karolie

Norma Karolie, 87, of Hope Ct., Wakefield, died Thursday at home. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Karolie Sr. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Hazel P. (Reading) Rickard. Mrs. Karolie worked as a clerk at the former Woolsworth Store for seventeen years before retiring. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, gardening and cooking. She leaves two sons, Kenneth “Chip” Karolie Jr. and James Karolie of Wakefield; two daughters Cheryl Siart of Palm Harbor, FL and Karyl Greene of Richmond; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Care of RI, 143 Main St., Wakefield.
