Nina K. Rogers-Carter

Nina K. (Giunti) Rogers-Carter, 84, of Hundred Acre Pond Rd., West Kingston, died Thursday surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Charles L. Carter. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Renato and Mary (Parillo) Giunti. Mrs. Carter was a graduate of Pawtucket Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse at Memorial Hospital, Providence Lying-In Hospital, Cranston General Hospital and an Industrial Nurse at Bostitch before retiring. Mrs. Carter was an accomplished painter and member of several art groups in Rhode Island and Florida. She loved traveling the world but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was the mother of Merideth McKiernan of CT, Jane Rogers-King of Exeter, Lauren Tedeschi of Narragansett, Mary-Ellen Christina of CT and William Rogers of HI; grandmother of seven and great grandmother of four. She was sister of the late Dolores Iacuele. The funeral will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
