Nicholas Adam Smith, born on November 20th, 1980, in Narragansett, RI, passed away unexpectedly on April 30th, 2024, in Honolulu, HI. He was 43 years old.
Nicholas, known to his friends and family as Nick, was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend. He is survived by his mother, Paula Smith; his brothers, Zachary and Alexander Smith; his grandmother, Rachel Buckley; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and his stepmother.
Nick's enormous smiles, huge loving hugs, and larger-than-life personality made every moment with him an adventure. He was a bibliophile, often juggling multiple books at any given time, and a passionate lover of comic books and movies, sometimes seeing multiple films in theater per week. He had a profound love for live music and concerts, often traveling far and wide to experience his favorite bands and artists.
Nick followed his dream to live in Hawaii, achieving this goal while working at a fine dining establishment in Honolulu. His vibrant spirit and zest for life endeared him to an extremely large group of old friends, most of whom have cherished his friendship for over 30 years.
Nick will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Visiting hours for Nicholas will be held Friday, May 31st from 3-6 PM in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, 02879.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Room to Read at https://www.roomtoread.org in his memory.
