Neal A. Fiorio, 67, formerly of Cumberland, died unexpectedly Thursday. He was the beloved husband of June (Roy) Fiorio. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Antonio and Anna (Smith) Fiorio. Mr. Fiorio was a former superintendent with the Town of Cumberland Water Department, retiring in 2003. He was a member and former Grand Master of the Mt. Moriah Lodge # 8 in Lincoln, and he served in the US Coast Guard. He moved to Charlestown in 2001 to enjoy boating, his great passion for fishing, and to be near his beloved grandchildren. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters; Denise Fiorio of Charlestown and Lisa Fiorio of Wakefield; two grandchildren, Hannah Beth Lancia and Michael A. Lancia; a brother, Don Fiorio of Glendora, CA; and two sisters, Anne Gramlich and Linda DeMichaels, both of Monticello, IL. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 9:00 - 10:30 AM at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Carmelite Nuns, 61 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Roxbury, MA 02119.
