Nancy Mahon Hart, 85, of Wakefield, passed away at home on Sunday, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Victor R. Hart for 59 years. Born in Orange, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Kathryn (Flynn) Mahon. She grew up in West Orange, New Jersey and graduated from St. Vincent’s Nursing Program in Montclair, NJ, and was a nurse at St. Vincent’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital. She enjoyed gardening and loved the “Jersey Shore”. Mrs. Hart lived most of her life in New Jersey, until recently moving to Rhode Island. She will be remembered for her deep Christian faith and her devotion to her family, especially her three grandsons, who were the apple of her eye. Besides her husband she is survived by three children, Terry Hart of Honolulu, HI, Kelly Hart and her wife Debbi Schoof of Brick, NJ and Mary Cowger and her husband Todd of Wakefield.; and three grandchildren, Patrick, Jonathon, and Brady Cowger. She was the sister of the late Patrick Mahon and Winifred Smith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
