Myrtis A. Simmons, 95, a Narragansett Indian, of Charlestown, formerly of Indian Run Village in Wakefield, died peacefully at the home of her niece. She was the wife of the late Ralph Simmons. Born in Wickford, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Howard V. Champlin and Mabel (Perry) Sebastian. Myrtis lived in Boston, Massachusetts and worked as a seamstress for many years. She also worked at the Rhode Island Medical Center until her retirement in 1985. She is survived by a brother, Richard Sebastian and a sister Juanita Reels both of Ledyard, CT. Myrtis was the sister of the late, Harold, Catherine and Mason Champlain, Clifford, Emmanuel and Vincent Sebastian, Doris LaCorbinere, Evelyn Reels, Phyllis Waite, Margery Pinson and Constance Sampson. A graveside service will be held in First Hopkinton Cemetery, Fairview Ave, Hopkinton. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-7 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
