Montafix W. Houghton,Iii

Montafix W. Houghton III, of Warwick, RI, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024. He was the son of the late Montafix W. Houghton, Jr. and Dorothy S. Houghton. He was the beloved husband of Michelle Houghton for 54 years.

Montafix spent his earliest years in Uxbridge, MA, and later moved to Warwick, RI as a youth. As an adult, he worked in management for the Almacs Grocery Store chain. He met his soulmate, Michelle, at Goddard Memorial State Park Beach in the summer of 1969.

Montafix loved his roles as husband and as father. His family was his pride and joy. He loved cooking baked apples with cinnamon and baked open faced squash with brown sugar. He loved watching the Boston Red Sox and he was thankful that he could always see the church steeple and cross from his picture window when he prayed in the morning.

Besides his wife Michelle, he leaves behind his five (5) children: Amber, Montafix IV, Alexis, Mark, and Mathew and six (6) grandchildren: Mason, Montafix V, Maximus, Carmine, Magnus, and Maez.
