Mildred H. Malgieri

Mildred H. Malgieri (Cronin) “Millie”, 85, of Narragansett passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at South County Hospital. She was the wife of George V. Malgieri for 63 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Mildred B. (Burgess) Cronin. Mrs. Malgieri was an operator for the New England Telephone Company for many years before retiring. She was also the co-owner of Cronin’s Beach; a graduate of Hope High School and a member of the Rhode Island Honor Society. Besides her husband she is survived by her sister-in-law, Madonna R. Joy of Wakefield and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Michael G. Malgieri and the sister of the late Katherine Winter, James, William and John Cronin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at 10 am in St. Thomas More Church, Rockland St., Narragansett. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to South County Hospital, 100 Kenyon Ave., Wakefield, RI 02879.
