Michael W. Cafferty

February 22, 1963 — March 21, 2011

Michael W. Cafferty, 48, of Richmond, died unexpectedly Monday. He was the husband of Daryl Frost. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late William P and Elaine (Becker) Cafferty. Mr. Cafferty was the co-owner of South Shore Construction, along with his brother–in-law, Craig Thornlimb. He loved hunting, building and was a member of the Warwick Sportsman Association and the West Kingston Fire Department. He will be remembered as being a hard worker and compassionate friend to all who met him. Besides his wife he is survived by, two sons, Adam Michael Cafferty and Jaime L. Cafferty, both of West Kingston; six siblings, Kimberly Thornlimb of Richmond, Kevin Cafferty of Warwick, William Cafftery, Jr. of Cranston, Cheryl Cafferty and Heather Cafferty, both of Topeka, KS, and Vicki Schneider of Fulton, MO; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Saturday, 3-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Southern RI, PO Box 458, Wakefield, RI 02880.
