Maurice L. Tucker, Jr.

Maurice L. Tucker, Jr., of Charlestown, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Hascup) Tucker for 56 years. Born in Wakefield, he was the son of the late Maurice L., Sr. and Stella (Stone) Tucker. He was a graduate of South Kingstown High School. Mr. Tucker was a textile worker for many years, but after retiring, he became a local handyman repairing numerous homes for family members and neighbors. He found great satisfaction in helping others. Besides his wife he is survived by two children, Timothy Tucker of West Greenwich and Beth Tucker of Charlestown; three grandchildren, Mark, Eliana, and Christian; and a sister, Linda May of West Kingston. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, May 19th in the Shannock Baptist Church, 1632 Shannock Road, Shannock. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted and burial will be private.
