Maurice F. Stefano

Maurice F. Stefano, 84, of West Kingston, died Sunday, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Yvonne (Carriere) Stefano. Born in Wakefield, he was the son of the late Maurice and Ruth Stefano.Mr. Stefano worked for the A&P Supermarket and Almacs Supermarket, retiring in 1995.He will be remembered as a devoted family man. Besides his wife he is survived by three children, Dale (Nancy) Stefano of Wakefield, Diane (John) Carey of Wakefield, and Gary (Collette) Stefano of Cranston; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Stefano of Fryeburg, Maine. He was the father of the late David Stefano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 am in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial with military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Thursday 5-8 pm.
