Mary Anne (Mullenberg)Tomkiewicz, 70, of Wakefield passed away peacefully on May 27th, with her husband of 47 years Frederick G. Tomkiewicz Sr. by her side. She spent her final days surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 18, 1940 in Milwaukee, WI, she was the daughter of the late Dolores (Mullenberg) Klinkhammer and the late Louis Klinkhammer of Racine, WI. She moved to Green Hill in 1982, but always called Wisconsin home. She visited and spoke about her large, loving family in Wisconsin often. Besides her husband Frederick Tomkiewicz Sr., she is survived by her children: Frederick G. Tomkiewicz Jr. of Wakefield, Cherie (Tomkiewicz) Conover and her husband Peter Conover of Wakefield, and Debbie (Tomkiewicz) Cline and her husband John Cline of Mascoutah, IL. She was an amazing and very loving grandmother to Andrew Cline, Justin, Evan, & Benjamin Conover. She was very proud of her grandsons and they brought her great joy. Her life passion was her family. Her heart was filled with the giving spirit. She was a stay at home mom while she raised her children. She always opened her home and heart to anyone she met, including all of her children’s friends, She enjoyed volunteering and helped with everything her children were involved in. She was fondly known as “Mrs. T” to many. She was a SKHS Cheerleading coach in 1986 and 1987. She enjoyed sewing and crafts. She worked as a Home Health Aide taking care of others after her children had grown. She was a member of the GFWC Women’s Club of South County and Seniors Helping Others. Once her grandchildren were born, she shined her loving light on them full time. She is also survived by many family members. Siblings, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. Many of them live in Wisconsin, but some are in CT, NH, OR, MN, AZ and IL. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a member of St. Mary’s/St James parish in Charlestown. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Funeral services and burial will be held in Wisconsin.
