Mary Conlon Taylor, 92, passed peacefully November 23, 2014. Mary grew up one of five brothers and sisters on a farm in Richmond, Rhode Island. She married the late Frank Eliot Taylor in 1946 and moved to Connecticut to raise their only son, Robert. In addition to being the matriarch of family, Mary worked for the Superintendent of Schools in Plainville Connecticut and United Technologies Research Laboratory in East Hartford Connecticut until her retirement. Following retirement, both she and Eliot returned to Rhode Island to live out their golden years on Great Island. Mary leaves behind her son Robert, daughter in law Penny Taylor, grandsons Adam and Michael Taylor, and four great grandchildren; Joshua, Nathan, Benjamin and Lindsey Taylor. Her greatest joys were her family, her flower gardens and her roses. She will be greatly missed. A private service will be held for family and close friends, followed by a burial at the New Fernwood Cemetery in South Kingstown.
