Mary Ann P. Rheinberger

Mary Ann P. Rheinberger, 91, formerly of Saunderstown, passed away Tuesday. She was the beloved wife of the late James J. Rheinberger. Born in Chicago, IL, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Rebora) Puhl. Mrs. Rheinberger was a registered Nurse at Oak Park Hospital in Chicago, until her marriage. She and Joe moved to Cranston in 1958 and relocated to Saunderstown in 1970. She was an avid golfer and was a member of the Point Judith Country Club, where she was club champion, the Callawassie County Club in South Carolina, the Saunderstown Yacht Club, and the Plum Beach Garden Club. She and her late husband enjoyed traveling all over the world. She is survived by two sons and their spouses, Richard V. and Patricia Rheinberger of Narragansett and James J. Jr. and Margaret Rheinberger of Rehoboth, MA; two granddaughters and their spouses, Erin and Thomas Ribeiro and Brenna and Earle Sharpe; and three great-granddaughters, Mischa, Ava, and Emma Sharpe. She was the mother of the late Robert W. Rheinberger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday at the Our Lady of the Star Chapel, Christian Brothers Center, 635 Ocean Road, Narragansett. Burial will take place in the Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date.
