Mary F. (Markle) Rebh, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully Monday, February 2, 2026 . She was the devoted wife of the late William R. Rebh with whom she shared a loving life.
She is survived by her three children, Kathleen Currie, o f Sarasota, Florida, William Rebh and his wife Doreen of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, and Susan Tweedale and her husband Don of Syracuse, New York; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Markle, Ed Markle, and Wilfred Markle; her sister, Jean Gorte; and her son-in-law, John Currie.
Born November 23, 1926, in St. Clair, Michigan to Wilfred and Frances Markle, Mary graduated from St. Clair High School. She met the love of her life, Bill, while working in Michigan at the Chrysler Company. They were married August 13th, 1955, eventually settling and raising their close-knit family in Poughkeepsie, New York. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, golfing, and travel. As a member of St. Martin de Porres Lady Guild, she spent many years volunteering and advocating for the community.
Mary will be remembered for her quiet strength, strong faith, kindness, and easy smile. Her life was centered on those she cared for most. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will be cherished by all who knew her.
The family is grateful to the devoted staff at Elderwood of Scallop Shell for their compassionate care of Bill and Mary.
Services and burial will take place at a later date.
