Mary T. Precourt

Mary T. Precourt, 95, of Peace Dale died Sunday May 3, 2015, at the Scallop Shell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Placentia, Newfoundland, Canada on December 20, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Anne (Collins) Bruce and wife of her late devoted husband, Raymond. She was the sister of the late Eileen and Jerry Bruce. She is survived by her loving son, Br. Edmond Precourt, FSC of Christian Brothers Center in Narragansett, her sister Catherine O’Reilly of Cumberland, her brothers Edward Bruce of St. Johns, Newfoundland and Edward Collins of Placentia, Newfoundland. Mary was a Eucharistic Minister for many years at St. Pius V Church in Providence. She served on many parent committees for various fundraisers for the De La Salle Christian Brothers. She served on the Gifts Committee of The Don Monti Memorial Foundation - Ball of the Year in Woodbury, NY. She worked many years in the Bridal Room of New York Lace Store which gave her great joy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Star Chapel, Christian Brothers Center, 635 Ocean Road, Narragansett, RI 02882. Burial will be in the Veterans’ Cemetery in Exeter, RI. Visiting hours will be from 2:30-5:30 on Friday, May 8 at Christian Brothers Center. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Christian Brothers Center will be appreciated.
