Mary T. Maddock

Mary T. Maddock, 85, of Saunderstown, passed away Monday, January 11th. She was the wife of the late James H. Maddock. Born in Springfield, MA, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Teresa (Martin) Young. Mrs. Maddock worked for the Housing and Urban Development Agency in Washington, DC before retiring to Myrtle Beach, SC with her husband in 1982. She moved to Rhode Island two years ago. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, golfing, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons, Robert Maddock and his wife Carol of Saunderstown, and James M. Maddock of Gold River, CA; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was mother of the late Jeffrey T. Maddock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Saturday in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will take place in South Carolina at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Thomas Food Pantry, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence, RI 02909.
