Mary A. Derosier

Marie A. DeRosier, 94, of Peace Dale, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021. Born in Newport, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Marie A. (Lutzow) Billings. She was the wife of the late John J. DeRosier, Sr. Mary was raised on Barn Island in Stonington, CT. She was a natural born caretaker. Mary worked as a Private Duty Day Care Facilitator and worked with great kindness and compassion. She enjoyed cooking, swimming, and her son’s draft horses. Her favorite animals were skunks. She was a free spirit and lived a full life. Mary is survived by her son Richard Billings; her three grandchildren Cheryl, Mysty, and William Billings; as well as three great grandchildren. Services will be private.
