Mary C. Dawson

Mary C. Dawson, 88, of Traymore Street, Charlestown, died Monday. She was the wife of the late John C. Dawson, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Dominic and Pasquelina “Nellie” (D’Agostino) Paolucci. Mrs. Dawson was employed at URI for many years, retiring in 1988. She will be remembered as being a loving and devoted mother to her three children. Surviving are three children; John C. Dawson Jr. of Charlestown, David Dawson of Coventry; a daughter, Mary Ann Coleman of Reno, NV; four grandchildren, Erin, Cara, Ryan and Haley; three sisters, Connie Millozzi of Johnston, Jennie Amalfitano of Scituate and Antoinetta Grande of Providence. She was the sister of the late Elena Sanita and Frederick Paolucci. A funeral service will be Friday at 10 AM in The AVERY-STORTI Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are WEDNESDAY 4-6 PM.
