Mary Casey

Mary Casey, 98, of Narragansett, died Thursday surrounded by her family at the Scallop Shell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late William R. Casey, D.D.S. Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph. and Mary (Campbell) Rourke. Mrs. Casey became a summer resident of Narragansett in 1950 and she has been a permanent resident since 1964. She was a long time active member of the Pt. Judith Country Club and The Dunes Club. She is survived by; Noreen Casey of Narragansett, John and Cheryl Casey of Wakefield, Lawrence Casey and Claudia McLoud of Wyoming, RI, Richard and Maureen Casey of Warwick, and Kenneth and Cari Casey of Corpus Christi, TX; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. She was the mother of the late William R. Casey, Jr. The funeral will be 9 a.m Tuesday from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Road, Narragansett. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
