Mary Joy Borsay

Mary Joy Borsay, 72, of Wakefield, passed away at home among, family, friends, and her beloved pets, Thursday, July 23rd. She was the wife of the late O.F. “Slim” Borsay. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Marie (Hamel) Lanoue. Mrs. Borsay was retired from the RI Division of Fish and Wildlife where she worked in the Hunter Safety program for 32 years. She was an outdoors woman who enjoyed trap shooting, trout and salt water fishing, hunting and was also an avid painter. She is survived by three children, Ron Borsay of Wakefield, Veronica Berg of Wisconsin and Judy Wojcik of Newport; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Julie Wojcik. Visiting hours will be at the Avery Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Thursday, July 30th, 4-7 pm, followed by a prayer service at 7 pm.
