Mary Elizabeth Belknap

Mary Elizabeth Belknap, 92, of South Kingstown, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017. She was the wife of the late James T. Belknap. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Katherine (Whalen) Bannister. Mrs. Belknap worked as a receptionist for Dr. Louis Colavecchio for 19 years before retiring. She leaves her daughters, Lee Ann Smith and her husband Jon of Narragansett, Barbara Dimock and her husband Randy of West Kingston and Deborah Brown and her late husband Kerry of North Kingstown; sister Katherine Hey of Wakefield and brother, John Bannister of Wakefield; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was sister of the late Charles Bannister, Cora Adams, Anna Weinreich and Ethel Wolff. The funeral will be Wednesday, December 13th 9:00 a.m. from Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Church, 114 High St., Wakefield. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, stjude.org.
