Mary J. Apicerno

Mary J. Apicerno, 89, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013. She was the wife of the late William Apicerno. Born in Malden, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Vingione) Corrente. Mrs. Apicerno worked as a bank teller for the former Fleet National Bank for twenty years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. She leaves her sons, Michael Apicerno and his wife Jude of FL, and William Apicerno and his wife Vicky of Wakefield; granddaughters, Amy and Jill Apicerno; a brother, Edmund Corrente and she was sister of the late, Margaret Malatesta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 p.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church.
